About Gionne
Hey! Let me introduce myself. I’m a NOLA (New Orleans, La) girl living in a Florida world. At this point, I’ve lived in Florida almost as long as I did growing up in my hometown, New Orleans. My husband, Lonnie, and I have enjoyed over 30 years of married life together. The first 11 years of our married life I spent as the wife of a professional athlete. That was pretty fun and eye-opening. We were both 20 somethings with a morsel of wisdom and just as much life exposure living a Disney-like NFL life.
We have gained so much more wisdom since that time through sound Biblical teaching and by just living a life guided by these principles. The core theme of our marriage is partnership. We have started businesses, worked in ministry, served in ministry, labored together to build a youth ministry and helped to build a thriving athletic department and football team at our kids’ school. Whew!!
We also have five kids- ranging in age from 31 to 16. Our older 3 kids, Gilon, Lonnie III and Gavin were born during the first 12 years of our married life. We thought we were done. Then God blessed us with two more wonderful additions to the nest, Moriah and Taylor. We also have had the privilege of having our nephew, DJ fly in and stay for a while at different junctures in life. Life in our house is FULL! And I LOVE it!
Personality-wise, I'm a beaver by design. I get so much life from building systems and strategies and understanding why and how things work. I am passionate about my family, my faith, and seeing people discover their God-given potential and purpose. Women, spanning age groups, are my primary focus. I feel that because I am one, I get the strengths and struggles that come along with being a woman, wife, and/or mother. I'm also fiercely passionate about the restoration of the family and the divine and integral role that women play in bringing the family to its full glory. Women possess tremendous influence in all the spheres where life plays out. Getting a revelation of how to wield that influence under Divine instruction is near and dear to my heart. My heart is that something you read here about my life will draw you closer into partnership with the One Who made you the woman, wife, and mother that you are. You’re graced for this! As I share the fruit of a life spent with Him, I pray you find strength for your journey and are refreshed, revitalized and encouraged along the way.
Because of Him, I am….

Meet my Contributors
THE PEOPLE I GATHER MY CONTENT FROMÂ AND WHO GIVE MY LIFEÂ JOY!
Lonnie
My Pillar of strength. I fell in love with this man almost 30 years ago. His Mom still calls him Pooh Bear to this day. I finally got a revelation of this. He’s as gentle as Pooh but is still very much a Papa bear!

Gilon
My in house counselor. My best bud. The Womb Opener (as she call herself when she wants to pull rank). We live life on the same frequency. She’s a professional fist shaker and voice for the defenseless.

Lonnie III
The young man affectionately known as “L” to many. He’s my Renaissance man. Athlete, Scholar, Artist, Social Media Influencer, culture shaper. Lover of people. He never meets a stranger. He's the most extroverted of the clan. I’ve never seen a heart so big!

Gavin
My factoid. Ask him anything about anything and he almost always has an answer. His athletic ability is off the grid. He is like a deep quiet pool, very observant. When he's comfortable words flow freely. Football gives him life but he also thoroughly enjoys agitating his sisters or anyone for that matter!

DJ
The nephew. Don’t let the smooth face fool you. He is VERY comical and animated. One day I will release videos from the vault of him and the various characters he has played over the years! He and Taylor are birthday buddies. He has lived with us during different seasons of his life and now as a young adult he’s working on building a nest of his own.

Moriah Grace
My lifesaver. In my darkest hour God sent this sweet angel to me. Mo is my organizer and math whiz! I’ve never seen a young lady get so much joy from being able to organize a purse or a pantry…

Taylor
Our caboose. She is creative and discerning. Before she could speak she would point the “prophet finger” at folks and we knew they were in trouble. She is like a tornado. You can always tell where she’s been by the trails of things she leaves behind.
